criterAI is operated by Criterai Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

criterAI is an AI-powered research tool for UK mortgage brokers, designed to simplify and speed up the process of identifying relevant lender criteria.

2. Eligibility

criterAI is available only to regulated UK mortgage professionals and firms. You must be authorised by the FCA or working within an authorised firm.

We reserve the right to verify firm status using the FCA register and may deny or suspend access if eligibility cannot be confirmed.

3. Account Registration

To use the platform, you must register an account and provide accurate and complete information, including your firm name, FCA reference, and contact details.

You are responsible for keeping login details secure and must not share your access with others outside your firm unless agreed in writing.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use criterAI solely for professional mortgage research
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not misuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its data
• Not share output externally without verifying accuracy with the lender

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in the event of misuse.

5. Data and Privacy

We collect and process limited personal data in accordance with ourPrivacy Policy. Data used in search queries is anonymised.

All third-party services used (e.g., Notion, CustomGPT, Stripe) are subject to GDPR-compliant agreements.

6. Platform Availability

criterAI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free performance.

We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, upgrades or system updates, usually with prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in criterAI, including content, design, software, and documentation, remains the property of Criterai Ltd or our licensors.

You may not copy, resell, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the platform without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

criterAI is a research tool only. Final responsibility for lender selection and client advice remains with the mortgage broker.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for:

• Any loss of business, profits or data
• Any indirect, consequential or special losses
• Errors in third-party data or outputs generated by the AI tool

Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the total amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to any claim.

9. Subscription and Fees

If you use a paid version of criterAI, fees and billing arrangements will be set out at the point of sign-up. All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to revise subscription pricing with prior notice.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by written request. We may suspend or terminate access without notice for breach of these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will cease
• We may retain anonymised usage data for analytics
• Your personal data will be handled as outlined in ourPrivacy Policy

11. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms occasionally. Updated versions will be notified to users by email and posted on our website. Continued use of criterAI after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
